LE NORMAND Xavier, guest artist for the exhibition, Ce que peut le verre

I approach glass in its duality.
When hot, the energy is intense, wild, it's a choreographed routine. A fight that requires a lot of softness.
When cold, I start a conversation with the light.

Xavier Le Normand

Biography

Born in 1978 in France.

Xavier le Normand, glass artist and sculptor, shares his life between the Dordogne and Paris. It is in Nîmes, at the Ateliers de Font-Blanche, that he begins his training in jewelry and sculpture.

Very quickly attracted by glass, he continued his research at the CERFAV, near Nancy, where he collaborated for four years with Philippe Baldwin and Monica Guggisberg.

In 2009, he won the prize for "the intelligence of May", awarded by the jury of the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation.

After alternating between residencies in the United States and trips to Japan, in order to transmit his unique vision of the world and share his art through Master classes, he decided to settle in the Paris region.
