Juan Garaizabal is a visual artist, sculptor and engraver, internationally known for his monumental sculptures. So many works inspired by the architectural memory of the places he discovers and which inspire him, and of which you could discover some of them during the personal exhibition of the artist last year at the gallery.
The rich past of the Château d'Ainay-le-Vieil and its admirable site immediately seduced him and the idea was made jointly with Arielle and Hervé Borne, owner of the château, to create works that draw their inspiration from this unique link between architecture and nature, past eras that open onto others, and that from century to century make the link between eras, Renaissance architecture taking over from the medieval period, naturally, spontaneously.
Eight monumental works will be exhibited in the gardens of the castle, two of them directly inspired by the place.
