Jumi Bae
Jumi Bae was born in 1964 in Dai-Jeun, South Korea. After studies of literature in Sorbonne, she discovers photography. She leaves then for New York where she obtains the diploma of Parsons School of design. Finalist of the Trophy Lancôme for Photography in 1993 on the subject "Feminine body", she participated, since 1993, in numerous exhibitions, so collective as individual, in Paris, Nançay, New York and in Korea. In 1997 she published " Busan, open city ", book of photography about the second city of South Korea. In 2005, she realizes artist's book which groups together her series " Signs of trees " and "Edges".
She lives and works in Paris.
