“Every Felipe Gayo work means Exigency, Rigor, Beauty. It introduces under our gaze some truths usually hidden and proves that, behind the look of things, some laws are ruling us. The most advance physical science teaches us that, in the beginning of the Universe, during the Big Bang - 15 billion years ago without a doubt - the power that determined the expansion of pinhead sized worlds and incredible strength, had, by exploding, shattered the Perfect Symmetry constituting it. The matrix of this perfection stayed in every atom - like a holographic sign - allowing every combination and all the structures of Material and Life - Beings and Things - and explains how it evolved, like the galaxies expansion. Our brightest philosophers, since Anaximander, Heraclites, Democritus, Parmenides, Pythagoras and Plato, had intuited the premonitions Science only now unveils. But thoughts need to be revealed by senses and Reason to find their value. The Artists role is to be just like explorers, at the forefront of research, bringing back gems of truth able to insufflate life into everyone. Felipe Gayo is one of them - his astonishing constructions build from these so fragile materials. One can think a sigh could scatter them away. On the contrary, they have absolute power! “Harmonics of the world

A universe made of order and construction? Without a doubt, but one can’t resume Gayo’s work that way, as it would be risky to confine this creator in a mathematical schema. To enlist him in an army made of numbers and calculus, and to confine him, his number “9” and its multiples, in a prison the key of could be the Golden Number. “I like what the scientists are doing these days, and what the theologians were looking for yesterday” says Gayo. He’s not at the end of the cycles and the final order. But the deep way, the one of the mind, is royally open. Can we remember that, for a good part of his life, Gayo was a flamenco guitar player, meaning serving an art build with rhythms. After the polyhedrons and platonic cubes from his last exhibits, here he comes reading in another ways the world harmonics, looking for flows and rhythms, playing the particles and photons game, composed from immaculate moucharabieh windows and introducing unlikely dialogues. Beyond these mathematical laces, proliferation of signs, we can find whether the earth flesh, its follies and miracles, whether extreme buildings, wearing white, his only true color. Through these settings, cut cardboards, edges preserving from the universe or enigmatic legends (Gayo’s art is also a written one), emerge a real poetry. In front of so many fulfillments (“everything is number”), we won’t wonder, as for the human hands introducing mistakes in oriental carpets, if God is perfect. We’ll admire simply the unclassifiable quests and the uncompromising ethics of Felipe Gayo. To follow silently, according to the daylight mood”.
