One does not make a landscape with geometry, according to the word of Victor Hugo. There is however an abstract dimension of the landscape, which geometry allows to approach. To be in the landscape is to participate in its atmosphere. Echoing the nourishing character of the agricultural landscape, links can be woven between this contemplated expanse and the maternal face. Through the primary role of the maternal mirror, the mother is the one who will allow access to the world as a quest for the self. To be in the landscape is therefore to take one's place in it. - Olivier Sémon
