LAFOLIE Laurent, Photography, invited artist, La fabrique des éléments

Born in France in 1963, Laurent Lafolie has been a photographer since 1980. In the early years of his practice, he collaborated with directors and, from 1994, with contemporary choreographers.
Since 2005, he has been involved in independent artistic projects, working on the mechanism of image perception. Also recognized as one of the best printmakers of his generation, he has made experimentation with chemistry, choice of supports (washi, tracing paper, silk, glass, ceramics) and printing processes (contact, platinum, UV printing, etching, enameling, laser engraving) an artistic challenge.
